Bishop Ebenezer Adewole sets out for Work

3rd December 2025
Diocese of Lagos South West

Barely a week after the enthronement of the Rt Revd Dr Ebenezer Ajayi Adewole on the See of Lagos South West Anglican Diocese, the Diocesan sets out to pursue the vision and mission he has for the new Diocese. He had rolled out various spiritual programmes to commence his episcopal ministry. This is in obedience to God's instruction that birthed these programmes. The first among these was a retreat with the clergy and wives held at All Saints’ Anglican Church, 41 Road Festac, on Friday, November 28th, 2025. The Venerable Dr ‘Lanre Babalola, a lecturer from the premier Anglican seminary, Immanuel College of Theology, Ibadan, taught extensively on the pioneering spirit. All the clergy, agents and wives were in attendance. The retreat began with a Holy Communion Service and the Diocesan gave the sermon. He spoke on the 5 Cs of Leadership. The Diocesan Episcopal Visits to Iba, Amuwo and Festac Archdeaconries are scheduled for December 1 to 4, 2025. The visit was scheduled so that the Bishop would meet with his people as well as get to know the churches in the newly created diocese. The 3 Nights of Vision and Mission are to hold Fridays December 5, 12 and 19, 2025 at Church of Epiphany Iba, Christ Church Amuwo and Cathedral Church of Pentecost Festac respectively. The Diocesan stated that God instructed him to bring all the parishioners of the Lagos South West Diocese together under one umbrella of spiritual atmosphere for prayers. The clergy were charged to mobilise their members for the vigil.

A 1-Day Synod comes up on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Cathedral Church of Pentecost, Festac. All Synod delegates are to be present at the Synod. The President of the Synod will give his charge to set the tone of direction for the Diocese.
