3rd December 2025
Diocese of Lagos South West

During the Iba Archdeaconry Visit in Pentecost College, Iba, Bishop Adewole announced that the Lord Bishop of the Diocese of Lagos West has graciously released Pentecost College, Iba; the Adetiloye Schools, Festac Town; and Faith of Our Fathers' Anglican Church, Okota, to the Diocese of Lagos South West. He said he got the letter of release on November 30, 2025. He thanked the Bishop, whom he eulogised as his father, mentor and boss at work for his magnanimity. Before the release, the Pentecost College and Adetiloye Schools had been under the Diocese of Lagos West as the proprietor.

Bishop Ajayi Adewole, in his messages to his churches, said that they should run schools because he believes that a school is more enduring and can go a long way in raising godly youth for the society at large.

The Bishop prayed passionately for the students and encouraged them to obey God, their parents, and teachers. He recounted tales of the positive influence his teachers had on him. He also said that the incumbent principal of the college (Pentecost College), The Rev. Ogunkorode, is a son of his secondary school principal, who was a disciplinarian.
