Clergy and Wives Retreat Holds in Lagos Diocese South West

3rd January 2026
Diocese of Lagos South West

The Diocese of Lagos Southwest, under the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, successfully held its Clergy and Wives Retreat on the 2nd of January, 2026. The retreat took place at Our Saviour Anglican Church, Iba, and brought together priests and their wives from across the diocese. It was presided over by the Bishop of the Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Dr. E. A. Adewole.

The program was a time to pause a bit. To reflect. Clergy and their wives came together to pray, listen, and reconnect with one another. Sessions focused on spiritual renewal, family life, and the shared calling of ministry. Faith, marriage, and support are all linking together, really. Through prayers, teachings, and open discussions, participants were encouraged again and again to stay strong in unity and purpose.

In his charge, the bishop reminded families in ministry that the work of God flows better when homes are peaceful and supportive. The Diocese expressed gratitude to God for a smooth and impactful retreat. Many participants left refreshed, strengthened, and ready to begin the new year with renewed strength and commitment to the work ahead.
